FREDERICK - MD

FREDERICK - MD

Come see what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Our classes meet weekly during the school year. Each class member receives a course book with a commentary and home study questions. Each week, you’ll participate in small group discussions and a large group teaching. From time to time, fellowships will provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class.

2021-2022 Studying

Joshua, Daniel and 1 & 2 Peter

Josuhua
- The book of Joshua picks up where Deuteronomy leaves off.  After leading the Israelites out of Egypt and through 40 years of wanderings in the wilderness, Moses died.  But God remained faithful to His promise.  He appointed Joshua to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, where they would at last find rest in a place of their own.

Daniel - Set in the Babylonian captivity, the book of Daniel focuses on God's sovereign control of heaven and earth, from beginning to end.  The familiar stories of Daniel 1-6 provide a great model for living a godly life in a hostile environment.  Chapteres 7-12 provide compelling pictures of God's eternal unshakable kingdom that will prevail, no matter how bad things seem at the moment.  Class members will be encouraged in the areas of prayer, persevering under trial, living wisely, and seeking God in troubling times.

1 & 2 Peter - In these two letters, the apostle Peter offered encouragement to followers of Christ who were living as exiles and being persecuted for their faith.  These books exhort believers to hope and godly living.  They teach about godly relationships and warn about false teachers.  They point to Jesus as our example in suffering and faith, and remind us that true security can be found only in God.

MINISTRIES

Next Gen Children & Youth Ministry

We have an excellent Children's Ministry for babies, children and teens.

Through a variety of activities such as: Bible teaching, Scripture memory work, crafts, music, games and other activities, we seek to provide a nurturing environment where children can learn about Jesus' wonderful love for them.  We also come alongside parents as they teach and train their children to live out God's truths in their lives.  We welcome your children to experience the love of Jesus through the loving servants in our CBS Children's Ministry.
